Cruelty-Free is the Way to Be

When it comes time to select personal care products, you take into account many factors. Price, size, value, popularity, familiarity with the brand, and ingredients, among other things. However, do you know if your personal care products have been tested on animals? This issue is near & dear to our hearts because we love animals and therefore refuse to test on animals.

Here's 5 thoughts on why GR8SKN is proud to be cruelty-free:

  1. We Love Our Pets: "If having a soul means being able to feel love and loyalty and gratitude, then animals are better off than a lot of humans." -James Herriot. We don't test on animals because we love our own too much.

  2. Not the Same: Animals are DIFFERENT. There are a lot of reasons why we don't test on animals, but one of them is simply because animals are just different than humans. They can carry different diseases than us, and their bodies can respond to ingredients differently than ours do. According to Cruelty Free International, "only one third of substances known to cause cancer in humans have been shown to cause cancer in animals."

  3. Wanna Go For a Walk?!: Not only do we refuse to test on animals, we go out of our way to show them we love them. If you have a dog, show your love by taking him or her on an extra long walk today. You'll both enjoy a great, heart-healthy workout! Just be sure to take plenty of water for BOTH of you.

  4. Safe Ingredients: We only use ingredients that are KNOWN to be safe and healthy for your skin. There's simply no need for animal testing.

  5. Episkin: It's lab-created skin that works just like human skin...even more so than animal skin. Episkin can even mimic older skin by exposing it to UV light, which creates melanocytes and pigmentation. All the more reason why cruelty free is the way to be.

At GR8SKN, we are super passionate about many things (recycling, avoiding nasty chemicals, embracing a healthy, holistic lifestyle) but we are especially passionate about cruelty-free products.
