5 Tips For Gr8 Skin This Fall

We are now in fall which means cozy sweaters, tasty apple treats …. and dry skin. The cooler temperatures tend to dry out our skin which often leaves our skin getting cracked and irritated. This can be quite uncomfortable and even worse; the open tears can allow bacteria to enter your skin barrier.


Here are our tips for Gr8 Skin this fall:



1) Avoid Long Hot Showers


We know hot showers feel so nice on a crisp, cool day, but the hot water from the shower removes oil and moisture from your skin. This causes your skin to become even more dry and irritated. Avoid long harsh showers and moisturize your entire body when getting out of the shower to help repair your skin’s moisture barrier.


2) Use Gentle Exfoliators


When our skin gets drier, we assume the best way to fix this is to use a bunch of different exfoliators to get rid of the dead skin. This, along with the cooler months, increases sensitivity to the skin which in turn can lead to more irritation.
